Renovation of a museum in Sykesville, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a one-story above grade museum.

The work includes: The reconstruction of the insect damaged floor joist and beam system supporting the first level. Replacement of new water lines in kitchen and install heat trace. Insect inspection prior to commencement of all work. Permits. Engineer drawings provided by the Town of Sykesville. Furnish and supply all materials for project. All contractor generated debris to be removed by contractor. The work to be performed to the floor system includes the following: Insect inspection and treatment as needed. Remove all plumbing and electrical lines as required and reinstall. These lines may need to be re-routed. Dig two footers, approximant dimensions 18x18x32'' Sister new LVL. Install support columns. Construct bearing wall. Sister new floor joist. All construction practices, materials and design will be followed according to supplied engineer drawings, referred to as Gate House Museum Structural Repair. Kitchen repair is as follows: Remove kitchen sink base cabinet. Remove approximately 6 sqft of flooring and floor sheathing. Exposed floor joist to be inspected and repaired/replaced as needed. Replace two water lines supplying sink and cap off. Install and wrap thermostatically control heat trace on entire length of new water lines. Replace all removed or damaged floor sheathing.
