Description

Renovation of a municipal facility in Houston, Texas. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

The scope of work for this project consists of removing and replacing the roof membrane, insulation, flashings, scuppers, copings, and related accessories of the 1001 Preston Street Administration Building, 1001 Preston Street, Houston, Texas 77002, in accordance with the attached drawings and specifications. The work, in general, involves the following: 1. Removing and disposing of entire existing modified bitumen roof membrane and insulation system down to existing concrete deck. 2. Installing temporary roof. 3. Inspecting existing conditions and preparing for new roof membrane and insulation. 4. Installing new roof insulation, cover board, modified bitumen roof membrane, scuppers and metal flashings. 5. Installing new metal panels on parapet walls. 6. Installing new elastomeric coating on penthouse walls. 7. Removing all abandoned equipment and utilities and patching openings as indicated on drawings. 8. Removing and replacing existing lightning protection system. 9. Installing new rooftop electrical duplex outlets. 10. Removing existing structural frame at plan northwest corner. 11. Refurbishing existing structural frame adjacent to penthouse.
