The site is located within a new Tolls Testing Facility. Improvements include a combination of over eleven miles of roadway infrastructure with reconfigurable testing environments, twenty buildings to support the operation and maintenance of the infield features, and storm water management facilities to accommodate the infield improvements. No Pre-Bid Conference. A General Contractors License is required for this project. For buildings three (3) stories or less in height, a Builders License or General Contractors License is acceptable. Buildings more than 3 stories in height require a General Contractors License. This project has a building more than 3 stories in height. A copy of the General Contractors License must be received prior to Award. The General Contractor who is awarded this project shall sub-contract the roadway portion of the contract to contractors who are pre-qualified by the Department for Major Bridges, Grading, Portland Cement Concrete, Hot Plant-Mixed Bituminous Courses and Drainage. For bids over $150,000.00, the standard proposal guaranty of 5% of the bid will be required, unless otherwise stipulated in the proposal advertisement. A Proposal Guaranty of not less than five percent (5%) of the total actual bid in the form of either a certified check, cashier's check, trust company treasurer's check, bank draft of any national or state bank, or a Surety Proposal Guaranty made payable to the Florida Department of Transportation must be received for each bid in excess of $150,000.00.
