Site work, paving and new construction of an educational facility in Madera, California. Completed plans call for the construction of a educational facility.

Project scope of work includes but is not limited to site work and construction of a new K-8 school that is made up of single story buildings s which house Standard Classrooms, Career Technical Education Classrooms, Administrative/Library, Multipurpose rooms, Career Technical Education classrooms, Snack-bar/Athletic Storage, Play Courts/Playfields, and Parking. As of May 15, 2024, the general contractor has released the project for sub bidding. Work consists of all subcontractor trades. The project is a Lease Lease Back Scope of work includes: Demolition, Grading, Utilities, Site Electrical, Fire Protection (Fire Pump), Landscape/Irrigation, Minor Bldg trades associated with the Fire Pump Bldg. There will be one non mandatory Site walk on 5/8/24 at 3pm. Location of pre-bid meeting off of Clevland Ave in front of the project site. RFI's go to Steve Hamett, Estimator, shamett@harrisconstruction.com. Last day to submit RFI's is 5/20/24 at 2pm. A positive response to this Invitation will insure that you will be notified of all Addenda. Please check this site on a regular basis to see if any changes have been made. NOTE: Performance and Payment bonds may be required if bid amount is greater than $150,000. The bond must be from a company rated "A VII" or above by AM Best. This project is subject to skilled trades compliance This project is using state bond funds and is therefore subject to labor compliance monitoring and investigative activities by the Compliance Monitoring Unit (CMU) of the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement, Department of Industrial Relations of the State of California (DIR), in conformance with Labor Code Sections 1771.55 and 1771.75, and subchapter 4.5 (Commencing with section 16450) of title 8 of the California Code of Regulations. In bidding on this project, it shall be the Bidder's sole responsibility to evaluate and include the cost of complying with all labor compliance requirements under this contract and applicable law in its bid. Be advised in accordance with Public Contract Code 20111.6 bidders performing as both a Prime Contractor and General Contractor (A or B) License, or an Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing contractor utilized as a Prime Contractor or subcontractor must be pre-qualified prior to bidding on certain state funded projects. For purposes of prequalification, Electrical, Mechanical & Plumbing contractors are contractors holding either a C4, C7, C10, C16, C20, C34, C36, C38, C42, C43 & C46 CA State contractors license. The link for the Pre-Qualification can be found on Madera Unified website under the purchasing dept. All prequalification's will be submitted as directed in the Pre-Qualification package, HCCI will not be accepting these packages. Project has a 60 day bid hold. A Summary of Work will be posted on our website for most trades for review and to be filled out and sent back to Harris Construction. Construction is anticipated to start mid-August 2024. Completion for all increment packages is expected July 2026.
