This contract was awarded to Kraemer Brothers for the amount of $21,055,615.00. Contract: Bids will be received for the following Work: 1. Procurement, Delivery & Installation of Shelves, Furniture, Fixtures, & Equipment. The expected substantial completion date for the project includes four phases of work with final substantial completion anticipated on April 6, 2026. BIDDER'S QUALIFICATIONS A. Bidders must be properly licensed under the laws governing their respective trades and be able to obtain insurance and bonds required for the Work. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon and will furnish after the award of contract a corporate surety bond, in a form acceptable to the City of Sun Prairie, for the faithful performance of the contract, in an amount equal to ten percent of the amount of the contract. The bidder's security shall be in the amount fixed in the Instruction to Bidders and shall be in the form of a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bank money order drawn on a FDIC insured bank in Wisconsin or on a FDIC insured bank chartered under the laws of the United States; or a certified share draft drawn on a credit union in Wisconsin or chartered under the laws of the United States; or a bid bond on the form provided in the contract documents with corporate surety satisfactory to the City. The bid shall contain no conditions except as provided in the specifications. Bids will be considered at a meeting of the Library Board on Thursday, December 12, 2024. At this meeting, the Board may take action to award the contract, or it may table said award to a later date. It is the intent of the Owner to award a contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder provided the bid has been submitted in accordance with the bidding requirements.
