Renovation of an educational facility in Madison, Wisconsin. Working plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
**As of September 12, 2023, bids received were rejected as they were over the budget. Project will rebid but no definite date yet.** In general, the work consists of replacing the antiquated HVAC system in the South Wing of Bascom Hall. The new system will be four-pipe fan coil units with ventilation air from a central energy recovery unit that will reuse some existing distribution ductwork to each floor. The new system will connect to central campus chilled water and steam/condensate via a hot water distribution system. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. Performance Bond: 100% Payment Bond: 100% Prevailing Wage Requirement: Yes The successful mechanical, electrical, plumbing, or fire protection Bidder must agree to commence the work on or before a date to be specified in a written "Notice to Proceed" issued by the General Prime Contractor and to fully complete all the work within 365 consecutive calendar days thereafter.
