Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Atlanta, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a municipal facility; fitness / recreation center; 200-space parking garage; 30-bed residential development; and 100-seat theater / auditorium.
As of September 21, 2021, project started construction in August 2021, and is underway. A construction manager has been selected. The new headquarters building is envisioned to consist of an estimated 125,000 to 150,000 square feet of space. The new facility will be a multipurpose building capable of accommodating a variety of spaces including but to necessarily limited to the following: It will be a multipurpose building with: Office space Credit Union Interview/Polygraph booths (Special building needs for sound proofing) Dormitory space to accommodate 30 beds Teared auditorium to seat 100 Gym Full kitchen Conference Space Decked/underground parking to accommodate 200 spaces Glass and Georgia sourced granite prominent in construction Parking at building entrance to accommodate visitor parking without interfering with employee parking Flagpoles and an officer memorial at front entrance Ability to display historical vehicles in front atrium Glass cases to display historical artifacts The selection of a Design Professional is currently underway with design services expected to commence by November 2019, with construction documents anticipated for completion in Fall 2020.The selected CM/GC will immediately commence preconstruction services upon execution of a Construction Management Contract. The start of construction is contingent on the availability of the funding. Construction duration to reach Material Completion estimated at approximately 18 to 20 months. (All of the dates above are estimates which are subject to change.) Deadline for submission of written questions and requests for clarification 10/9/19 2:00 PM Owner completes qualification evaluation and determines finalist firms 10/28/19 TBD Questions about any aspect of the RFQ, RFP, or the project, shall be submitted in writing (e-mail is preferable) to: Jeff Lacks, Director Procurement, e-mail: jlacks@gsfic.ga.gov . Owner issues notice to finalist firms to propose as instructed in RFP 10/28/19 Deadline for finalist submission of written questions and requests for clarification 11/7/19 2:00 PM Owner interviews finalist firms and Fee Proposals due 11/21/19 TBA. GSFIC reserves the right to reject any and all submittals, and to cancel the solicitation in its entirety and possibly re-advertise and issue a revised solicitation for any reason. With the submittal of a Proposal, the Proposer agrees that the proposals shall remain valid for a period of ninety (90) days.
