The goal of all of this planning work is to ensure that proposed tourism developments maximize the economic impacts of visitor spending by creating thoughtful connections between communities, their businesses, and the visitors. With this goal in mind, the following strategies will be employed for the UKV planning process. Proposals shall identify all personnel assigned to the project, including the project manager. Personnel descriptions shall include: title, area of expertise, a summary of only relevant work experience, and the percentage of the contract that will allocated to each person. Respondents must be aware that the project shall be completed within 12 months of written authorization to proceed by the Kanawha County Commission. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. Request for Proposals for Planning Services for Upper Kanawha Valley River and Trail Gateway Communities is underway.
