The work to be performed hereunder is located in the City of Irvine, County of Orange, on Irvine Center Drive Pavement from Pacifica to Lake Forest Drive. Scope of Services Irvine Center Drive Pavement Rehabilitation (From Pacifica to Lake Forest Drive), CIP 312101. The work to be performed shall include, but not be limited to: Cold milling, removing, excavating, and replacing AC pavement, AC pavement surface course overlay, adjusting valve covers, pull boxes, and manhole covers to grade, removing and replacing damaged concrete curb, gutter and sidewalk, modifying curb ramps and access driveways, signing and striping, and other items not mentioned here, but as required by the plans and Special Provisions. The CITY is subject to the provisions of law relating to public contracts in the State of California. CONTRACTOR shall abide by all applicable Sections of the California Labor Codes including Sections 1770 -1781, et seq. In accordance with the provisions of Section 1773 of the California Labor Code, the general prevailing rates of per diem wages and holiday and overtime work in the locality in which the Work is to be performed shall be in accordance with the rates posted on the Department of Industrial Relations. The CONTRACTOR, and any subcontractor under him, shall pay not less than the specified prevailing rates of wages to all workers employed in the execution of this Agreement. This project is subject to the Community Workforce Agreement (CWA) between the City and the Los Angeles/Orange County Building and Construction Trades Council (Trades Council). The CWA establishes labor relations policies and procedures for the Contractor and subcontractors of all tiers - including a local hire goal, payment of employee fringe benefits through a union trust fund and registering employees through a union hall.
