Upgrades to various municipal locations. TIMELINE: Building on work completed in phase 1 of the study, the City of Toronto City Planning Division awarded the Consultants to complete the remaining phases of the Scarborough Centre Focused Review Study (Phases 2-4). The study is an integrated planning process to refine and upgrade the Scarborough Centre Secondary Plan and develop a comprehensive planning framework specific to Scarborough Centre. The intent of the SCFR Study is to develop a more robust policy direction for Scarborough Centre guided by a vision to transform the area into a complete community. The planning framework will build on the existing policy directions and complement the vision and preliminary public realm plan developed in Phase 1. It will guide future growth and encourage city building that tis resilient and sustainable; support positive change and place-making over the coming decade; as well as support the development of Scarborough Centre as a vibrant urban node to serve the working and resident populations. The scope of work to be completed will support the development of amendments to the Scarborough Centre Secondary Plan, implementations and phasing of investment, and inform other potential planning tools the City may recommend for the Secondary Plan area, which will be developed and managed by City Planning staff following the completion of the contract with the Center. The SCFR Study will form the basis upon which the City Staff will prepare updates to the Secondary Plan. No construction resulted from this call.
