Site work, new construction and renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for site work for a pre-engineered storage facility; and for the renovation of a pre-engineered storage facility.

A timeline for the award is not yet determined.** Sub-Bids will be required for the following work category: Category Reference Specification Section Roofing and Flashing 07201 Plumbing 15401 HVAC 15501 Electrical 16000 The Work of this Contract generally consists of the construction of a wood framed building consisting of a 4,800 square foot slab on grade garage area; site preparation including foundation excavation, complete on-site wastewater disposal system installation, garage floor drain and tight tank, stormwater controls, and access roadway and parking lot construction; construction of foundations; connection of the building to site utilities, including electrical, plumbing and HVAC utilities; and any other services required to construct a garage for use and occupancy. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount and in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 100 percent of the contract price will be required in the form described in the Instructions to Bidders. Each General Bidder shall submit a DCAM Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement for General Building Construction with the bid. Each Sub-Bidder shall submit a DCAM Certificate of Eligibility and Update Statement with the Sub-Bid for the sub-trade on which they are submitting a sub-bid. No Bidder may withdraw his bid within 30 days (Saturdays, Sundays and legal holidays excluded) after the actual date of the opening of the General Bids. Minimum wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 149, Sections 26 to27D, as amended, apply to this project. If the bidder views/obtains the plans and specifications from a source other than those noted in this Advertisement for Bids, the accuracy and/or completeness of the bid documents cannot be guaranteed and the bidder assumes the responsibility for obtaining any additional information regarding the project, including addenda, that may be required for bidding. Failure to acknowledge addenda issued during bidding shall designate a bid as non-responsive. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept any bid, to waive any informality on bids received, to omit any item or items deemed advisable for the best interests of the Owner or to limit the extent of the Work to keep within the limits of available funds.
