The Sandwich Public Schools seek proposals from qualified project management firms for Owners Project Management (OPM) services for general project support, design development, bidding, and construction phases for a series of building improvement projects funded for Sandwich High School, Oak Ridge School, Forestdale School, and Human Services Building, all located off Quaker Meetinghouse Road in Sandwich, MA. Projects include central office building renovations, HVAC replacements and improvements, building envelope repairs, playground replacements, and auditorium improvements. The School Department is seeking an OPM with experience with similar public building projects who will be involved in the final design development, construction bidding, all construction oversight phases of the project, and any other OPM tasks required by M.G.L. c.149. This RFQ is issued with recent voter approval of the School improvement projects at the May 2, 2022 Annual Town Meeting and the May 5, 2022 Annual Town Election. Proposals not received by the above deadline will be returned unopened and will not be considered by the School Department. The successful applicant-project manager will be required to execute a contract in substantially the form included in this RFQ. The project managers fee will be negotiated. The Sandwich Public Schools reserve the right to reject any or all proposals, to waive any informalities in the proposals, and to award a project management contract in a manner that best serves the interests of the School Department. The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time.
