The 452 Operational Contracting Office at March Air Reserve Base intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) for a firm-fixed price construction contract for repair of softball field (PDPG 09-0132) at March ARB CA. The statement of work requires the contractor to provide all equipment, materials, transportation, labor and supervision necessary to demo existing softball field turf, sprinklers and irrigation pipe; cap irrigation valves; install heat reducing synthetic turf, drain bed, perforated pipe sub-drains, synthetic anchors, and softball field and soccer field markings. This acquisition is set-aside for woman owned small businesses. The applicable North American Industry Classification System code is 236220 with a size standard of $36,500,000. The magnitude of construction is between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Contract period of performance is 181 calendar days. The Government intends to award a single Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. In accordance with FAR 36.103 sealed bid procedures will be utilized for award of a contract. It is anticipated that the IFB will be issued electronically on or about 16 August 2019, on Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) website , with a bid due date tentatively scheduled for 24 September 2019 at 1000 PST. All amendments, questions and answers, etc. will be posted at FBO. No paper copies of the solicitation will be provided. After the IFB is posted, interested parties are cautioned to review the site frequently for any updates/amendments.
