Renovation of an educational facility in University Park, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The method of contractor selection has not been determined at this time. On the campus, GSU has one main kitchen and dining facility that will be renovated as per the project manual. The project consists of the renovation of the existing servery/kitchen and portions of the dining room- approx. 17,500 SF. The bid specifications are divided into division of work including: general construction (which includes food/kitchen equipment & mechanical), plumbing (includes fire protection), and electrical. The existing kitchen is approximately 7,300 SF. The servery is approximately 2,700 SF, and dining is approximately 7,500 SF. The area is located in the center of the main building on first floor, and circulation through dining area will need to be maintained throughout construction of the project.
