The Sacramento Municipal Utility District, Hereinafter referred to as SMUD is soliciting bids for Larch Northrop and Gilman Cornelia Distribution Substation Upgrades. Work Location: North Highlands and Sacramento Duration: 6 MONTHS The Contract work generally consists of furnishing, installing, and removal of a temporary chain link fence and gate. Furnishing and removing temporary improvements to prevent tire tracking from the site. Clearing and removing existing site organic material and disposal. Preparation of subgrade. Site fill and grading. Furnishing and installing culvert. Trenching and backfilling. Furnishing and placing aggregate base and crushed rock. Furnishing and installing conduits. Furnishing and installing grounding. Furnishing and placing asphalt concrete. Construction of concrete structures and foundations.Furnishing and installing tread plates. Furnishing and installing electric sump pumps, piping, and switch panel and supports. Furnishing and installing underground utility boxes. Furnishing and installing imbedded angles and grating supports. Bidders who do not attend the MANDATORY pre-bid meeting and site walk are precluded from submitting a bid for this work. No make-up meetings and/or site walk visits will be scheduled. SMUD reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in bids received when such waiver is in the interest of SMUD. Bids for construction contracts of $8,000,000 or more will be submitted to the Board of Directors of SMUD for award.
