This Contract provides for the safety improvements throughout the City of Yelm by replacing sections of sidewalk that present tripping hazards and or limited protection from adjacent traffic. Several locations have been identified for replacement in kind of sections of sidewalk and A.DA. ramps. In addition, three other locations will replace existing sidewalks with wider sidewalks that include the addition of curb. Work includes traffic control, erosion control, demo and removal of existing, subgrade prep for concrete work, concrete sidewalks, concrete barrier curb, and curb and gutter, ADA ramps, and other work, all in. accordance with the attached. project walk-through presentation, these Contract Provisions, and the Standard Specifications. All bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit by a cashier's or certified check, or Bid Bond in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of such bid proposal. Should the successful bidder fail to enter into a contract and furnish satisfactory Performance Bond within the time stated in the specifications, the bid deposit or bond shall be forfeited to the City of Yelm.
