The project involves the construction of approximately 8,207 linear feet of 16-inch diameter, 31 linear feet of 8-inch diameter, and 116 linear feet of 6-inch diameter potable water line and associated appurtenances by open-cut within the City of Denison, Texas. The project also includes approximately 916 linear feet of 12-inch diameter water line running parallel to Katy Memorial Expressway. The project also includes approximately 172 linear feet of 16-inch diameter water line by jack and bore and 534 linear feet of 16-inch diameter water line by horizontal directional drilling. The project also includes installation of approximately 90 linear feet of 16" steel casing only (no carrier pipe) under railroad tracks by jack and bore. Bids shall be submitted in sealed envelopes upon the blank form of proposal furnished. Representatives of the Owner and Engineer will be present to discuss the project. Engineer will provide to prospective Bidders of Record such Addenda as Engineer considers necessary in response to discussions or inquiries arising at the conference. The City reserves the right to waive any minor informalities or irregularities in any proposal. The City also reserves the right to reject any and/or all proposals, to award contracts for individual products or services as may appear advantageous, and to negotiate separately in any manner necessary to serve the best interest of the City. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the date on which bids are opened. The contractor is required to fill out and notarize the Certificate of Interested Parties Form 1295 and the form must be submitted to the City before the contract will be presented to the City Council.
