Storage Building at NP : SED Control Number: 40-04-00-01-2-029-001 Storage Building at EB : SED Control Number: 40-04-00-01-2-030-001 Post Bid Conference October 2, 2019 Award of Contracts October 9, 2019 Notice to proceed October 10, 2019 Construction start Upon receipt of Insurance Certificate and signed contract Substantial Completion November 30, 2019 Liquidated Damages: The Owner and the Contractor recognize that time is of the essence and that the Owner will suffer financial loss if the work is not completed within the specified time. Accordingly, the Owner and Contractor agree that as liquidated damages for a delay (but not as a penalty), the Contractor shall pay the Owner One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per day that expires after the time specified for completion until the work is actually complete. On-Site Work Hours: Work shall be generally performed inside the existing building during normal business working hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Second shift work from 3:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. and Saturdays 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. will be allowed when requested and approved by the Clerk of the Works. B. All work performed during the normal school year will be on Second shift unless approved by the Clerk of the Work. This may be allowed, for contract work, to progress during the regular shift if it is in non- student occupied space and approved by the Clerk of the Works. No bidder may withdraw his bid within 45 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Payment procedures and additional requirements are defined in the contract documents. Bidders are required to furnish a Proposal Guaranty of 10 percent of the amount of the Proposal, either by bank cashiers check, payable to the owner, or Bid Bond, conforming to law, and satisfactory to Owner. Performance, Labor and Material Payment Bonds are required.
