Plans call for second phase of the streetscape project features improvements along Elk Grove Boulevard, between School Street and Waterman Road. Included in the plans for this phase are a two-way left turn lane, a travel lane, and buffered bicycle lane in each direction, and frontage improvements on each side of the road. As of April 2024, the project is in design. Coordination is underway with utility companies to design the underground relocation and determine a joint trench alignment and location of above and at-grade utility components. Undergrounding of the utility lines and construction of the Streetscape improvements would be performed under one construction contract tentatively scheduled to start in spring 2025 and extend into 2026. *Project information, including timeline and contacts, has been obtained through public sources.
