Work includes the preservation and protection of all existing trees to remain within or near work areas defined to include trees with trunks within 30 feet of work or equipment or storage areas during construction. See the plans for locations and extent of critical root zones (CRZ) zones for the fencing to be provided as part of this work. Construction of approximately 13.6 miles of a mixture of welded steel and HDPE pipelines in primarily rural Southern Sacramento County roads. Pipe diameters ranging from 48-inch to 14-inch. Also includes ten trenchless crossings using auger boring or pipe ramming techniques, numerous air valves, blowoffs and turnout connections. There are also several isolation valves. Each bid must be submitted on the bid forms provided in the Contract Documents. Each bid must also be accompanied by security in the form of a bid bond issued by a corporate surety, a certified check or cashier's check payable to the Treasurer of Sacramento County, for an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the aggregate sum of the bid. The successful bidder shall be required to execute a Material and Labor Payment Bond and Performance Bond, issued by a corporate surety, acceptable to the County of Sacramento, each for not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price.
