Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Cattaraugus, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Construction efforts will include removal of the existing single span bridge and replacement with a new bridge. The new bridge will consist of a single span precast concrete three-side structure on a stepped mat foundation. The bridge will be constructed on a horizontal alignment similar to the existing and a profile approximately two feet higher than the existing at the bridge. The approach roadway will be reconstructed at each end of the bridge from approximately 210 feet north of the bridge to approximately 260 feet south of the new bridge. Additional work will include drainage system improvements, signage improvements, installation of stone fill slope protection, construction of a stream plunge pool and bioretention facilities, and replacement of guide railing throughout the project corridor. Final Request for Information shall be submitted by 2:30 P.M. Friday, October 11, 2019. Issuance of a final addendum shall be on or before Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 3:00 P.M.
