Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Mission, British Columbia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 151,200-square-foot, two-story above grade educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

The purpose of this request for qualifications (the RFQ) is to invite interested parties to submit Responses indicating their interest in, and qualifications for, the Mission Senior Secondary School Project (the Project). Based on these Responses, the Board of Education of School District No. 75 (Mission) (the Owner) intends to select, in accordance with the terms of this RFQ, a shortlist of up to 3 Proponents to be invited to participate in the next stage of the Competitive Selection Process, the Request for Proposals (the RFP) stage. The Mission Senior Secondary School will be a replacement of the existing Mission Secondary School to address an aging and inefficient building, as well as enrolment pressures facing the Owner. The existing school will remain operational during construction. The Project is planned to include: A new school with an approximate gross area of 14,000 m2 with capacity for 1,500 students, Grades 10 to 12, with the ability to expand capacity to 1,650 students. Special education resources through flex spaces and break-out rooms. A Neighborhood Learning Centre consisting of: Child care; Community kitchen and meeting space; and Gathering room for Indigenous education. Demolition of the existing school following substantial completion. The three company partnerships set to make proposals are Maple Reinders Construction with Stantec Architecture, Pomerleau with KMBR Architects Planners Inc., and Ventana Corp with Thinkspace Architecture Planning Interior Design Ltd.
