Roeland Park Community Center HVAC Upgrades Bids shall be made upon the form provided, in ink or typewritten. Numbers shall be stated both in writing and in figures; the signature shall be long hand; and the complete form shall be without alteration or erasure. On alternate items for which a bid is not submitted, a written indication of no bid on the bid is required. No oral, telegraphic, facsimile or telephonic bids or alterations will be considered. The following is a scope of work to be completed at the Roeland Park Community Center as part of an HVAC system upgrade. The Roeland Park Community Center is replacing two existing cooling only split systems. The contractor is to price the following options for the City: Option 1: Replace the existing AH2 and AH10 with a new gas heat and cooling split systems. Option 2: Replace the existing AH2 and AH10 with a new heat pump system with emergency electric heat. Work performed for either option requires at a minimum the following scope: o Demo and remove boiler and associated piping in the boiler room. o Demo and remove AH2 and AH10 o Hot water radiators to be abandon in place. o Furnish and install new condensing units to be installed on the roof. o Provide outside air per minimum required by code. o Reconnection of existing supply and return ductwork o Reconnection of condensate drains o Furnish and install refrigerant piping per manufacturers recommendations o Install new programmable thermostats Option 1 requires the following additional work: o Route flu and fresh air intake per manufacturers recommendations. Terminate flu min 10' from outside air intake. o Route new natural gas piping to air handling unit. Sizing to be per code. Option 2 requires the following additional work: o Provide new electrical circuit for emergency electric heat
