At the time of Bid Opening, bids will be publicly opened and read for performing work as follows: The removal, disposal, and replacement of two (2) existing suction system fuel dispensers and all associated equipment, fittings and accessories, including replacement of concrete island and slab, and installation of new accessible card reader unit as outlined in these plans and specifications Bidding procedures are prescribed in the Project Manual. Bids shall be executed upon the forms bound and made a part of said Manual. Bid guaranty in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid dollar amount conforming to the prescribed bidding procedures is required to be submitted with each bid, as a guaranty to be forfeited should the bidder, if awarded the contract, fail to enter into the same, or fails to furnish in a timely manner the bonds and/or proof of insurance. Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 22300, for monies earned by the Contractor and withheld by the City of Gilroy to ensure the performance of the Contract, the Contractor may, at its option, choose to substitute securities meeting the requirements of said Public Contract Code Section 22300. Each bidder shall submit with its bid a statement setting forth its experience on the forms included in the Bid Proposal. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) days after the date set for the opening of bids. The City of Gilroy reserves the right to reject any or all bids, and to waive any irregularities in the bids In accordance with the provisions of Paragraph 00700 6.2, Time of Completion, substantial completion of this project shall be completed within twenty (20) working days from the effective date of the Notice to Proceed.
