Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor Site Grading - Parcel 21049 Contract BH-1912-C Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for Site Grading Parcel 21049, Contract BH-1912-C at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor, Porter County, Ind., The contract work consists of the excavation and grading of a 5-acre site at the north end of the Port. The scope of work consists of the removal of approximately 38,000 yards of material, and the placing and shaping of 16,000 yards of excavated material into a new berm on a different parcel within the Port, The remaining 22,000 yards of excavated material shall be disposed of off-site. After excavation, the 5-acre parcel shall be capped with a layer of compacted aggregate. Bids shall be submitted on the proper bid form and delivered in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidders, all as described in the Instructions to Bidders, which accompanies the specifications. A Bidder's Bond, made payable to the PORTS OF INDIANA must be enclosed with the bid. Said bond shall be in the minimum amount of five percent of the maximum bid. The contract for this work shall be awarded to the lowest and best bidder who submits a bid for the performance of the work, however, the Ports of Indiana reserves the right to reject any or all bids at its discretion.
