The proposed project is located along the Military Ridge Trail and Cannonball Path corridor between McKee Road and Dunn's Marsh. The Contractor shall construct approximately 4,200 lineal feet of sanitary interceptor in sizes between 36 and 48-inch along the Military Ridge Trail and Cannonball Path in the Cities of Fitchburg and Madison. The project will install 12 new precast manholes, reconstruct 3 manholes, modify 2 manholes, and abandon the existing interceptor after reconnecting local flows. Miscellaneous smaller sizes of sanitary sewer are included in the project. Access for the project will be along the path which will be restored and repaved as part of the project. Other items included in the project are a relay of sections of forcemain, watermain, and storm sewer along with dewatering, tree removals, native restoration, and wetland restoration. All bidders must be qualified for this specific work. Before proposals will be accepted for the work contemplated herein, the OWNER will conduct such investigation as is necessary to determine the performance record and ability of the Bidders/subcontractors to perform the size and type of work specified in the Contract Documents. All prospective prime bidders and mechanical and electrical subcontractors must submit qualifications for review and approval by the District. Prequalification applications will be distributed with the Contract Documents or can be obtained from the District.
