Site work for a municipal facility in Bryan, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a municipal facility.

The work under these specifications shall include furnishing and installing a complete and operable 138 kV XLPE cable system installed in a concrete encased duct bank for BTU per supplied drawings. The line is located in College Station, TX near the intersection of Farm to Market Road (FM) 2818 and Luther Street. This project is being completed to accommodate the TxDOT expansion of FM 2818 at this intersection. The existing BTU 138 kV West Loop underground transmission line duct bank, previously designed by POWER for BTU in 2004, will be intercepted and extended to accommodate the relocation of the riser structure out of the expanded intersection. The TxDOT FM 2818 - 138 kV UG T-Line West Loop Riser Relocation Project will be comprised of a civil portion and an electrical portion, which will be combined under one contract. The civil portion of the project will utilize open cut trenching construction methods to install one (1) new duct bank segment near the intersection of FM 2818 and Luther Street to the proposed riser structure location. The new duct bank segment will tie into the existing BTU 138 kV West Loop underground transmission line duct bank at an intersection point 215 feet northwest of the existing riser structure and will extend 600 feet to the southeast to a new riser structure. Extending the duct bank will require the civil contractor to excavate the existing duct bank and remove the encasement concrete to expose the PVC conduits. The existing duct bank will be removed as necessary to make room for the new duct bank portion. The remaining portion of the existing BTU 138 kV West Loop duct bank between the intersection point and existing riser structure will be abandoned in place. The resulting duct bank installation will be a complete 138 kV duct bank system between existing Manhole (MH) #4 and the proposed riser structure. Bid must be completed and submitted on the forms found within the Specifications. Incomplete bid forms will invalidate the bid and the bid will be rejected and returned to the bidder upon request. The right to accept any bid or to reject any or all bids and to waive all formalities is hereby reserved by Bryan Texas Utilities In order to ensure a fair and public bid process, all questions or clarifications related to this Request for Bid shall be addressed in writing, via the Brazos Valley Online Bidding prior to 12:00 p.m. CST on October 29, 2019.
