Site work and new construction of an educational facility in Dallas, Georgia. Completed plans call for the construction of a 64,500-square-foot educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.

As of September 14, 2022, this project is under construction and is anticipated to be completed in 13 to 15 months. The owner has selected a Construction Manager. The new facility would allow Chattahoochee Technical College to train students in Aviation Maintenance Training Technology programs to diagnose problems and repair aircraft power plants and airframes. Aviation Maintenance Training Technology programs to be provided by Chattahoochee Tech would include certification programs approved by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), diplomas, and associate degree programs. The new aviation academy would operate at the Silver Comet Field of the Paulding County Northwest Atlanta Airport in Dallas, Georgia.The Paulding Northwest Atlanta Airport is the first jetcapable airport to be built in Georgia in over thirty years. The airport was designed to accommodate the anticipated growth in both private and corporate aircraft operations throughout the next fifty years. It is envisioned the new aviation academy will encompass approximately 64,500 square feet. While not limited to, the facility would include program space for the following: o Administrative Space (admin support, guest reception/waiting, restrooms, office space, break room/lounge, conference room, file/storage, testing lab, FAA file room, huddle room, wellness room) o Student Areas (student break area/lounge, tool room that includes a minimum of 100 lockers and shelving for small tools) o Classrooms (lecture only 25 students each, computer labs for instruction and testing as required) o Hanger/Labs (hanger, NiCad battery room, lead acid battery room, paint booth, technical library, parts and tools crib, ground support/equipment storage, composites and bonding., air frame lab, power plant lab, chemical storage, avionics lab, structural lab, upholstery & trim lab) o Building Services (mechanical room, electric room, IT/MDF room, facilities office, storage, fire pump room) o Exterior (240 parking spaces, loading area, plane/parts storage, pad mounted equipment) The preliminary Stated Cost Limitation (SCL) or construction cost of the Project is estimated at $24,000,000. The final SCL may be revised by the Owner due to final programmatic requirements, funding availability or other circumstances.
