Proposals from landscape architecture firms to design a new park master plan for the former L.W. Clapp Golf Course. It is the intent of the City of Wichita (City) to engage a landscape architecture firm to reimagine the former L. W. Clapp Golf Course and develop a new master plan for a future park. In August, 2019 the City approved funding in the 2019-2028 Capital Improvement Program (CIP) to redesign the golf course which was closed last summer due to lack of revenue. The City is seeking an innovative solution which will enable users to actively interact with a new set of park development uses and is seeking to hire a designer. The project budget has not been set and will be considered after the final master plan is created for future park development. The design budget has been estimated at approximately $200,000. Capital dollars are not currently programmed for this project.
