Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Airdrie, Alberta. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a 306,556-square-foot stadium; fitness / recreation center; and swimming pool.
Plans call for construction of a new multi-use recreation facility in southwest Airdrie. The facility will be located at the corner of Southwinds Blvd and Southwinds Dr., on a joint use site with Rocky View Schools. Construction will be carried out in multiple phases. Phase 1 - Aquatics Centre, Fitness Spaces, Indoor Play Phase 2 - Triple Arenas and Support Facilities Phase 3 - Field House and Gymnasium TIMELINE: A Site Master Plan and functional programming study is underway by GGA Architecture. Request for Proposals for the provision of Prime Consultant services has been issued. Construction of the first phase is planned for 2026-2028. Further update pending award of contract.
