For Cactus Avenue, Verona Wood Street to Polaris Avenue The Cactus Avenue project is located in the southwest portion of the Las Vegas metropolitan area, Clark County, Nevada. The project is approximately 3.5 miles long and extends from Verona Wood Street to Polaris Avenue. The improvements consist of removal of existing asphaltic concrete (AC) pavement, placement of hot mix AC pavement, and UTACS providing four to five travel lanes. The improvements also include raised medians, storm drainage facilities, curbs, gutters, sidewalks, utility modifications and relocations, ITS interconnect, traffic control devices, traffic signal loops, pavement markings, upgrade to LED lighting, streetlights, signage, intersecting streets, horizontal and vertical transitions and other necessary appurtenances.
