a. the proposed work is generally described as follows: 1. the project involves construction of two new elevated composite water tanks. one 1.0 million-gallon (mg) tank will be located in johnson county, kansas and one 2.0 mg tank located in olathe, kansas. each new tank includes connection to the distribution system; inlet/outlet piping, valves, and appurtenances; and overflow piping. site civil improvements including access drive, fencing, landscaping, and stormwater management. electrical improvements are required to support lighting, instruments, and controls, as provided in the contract documents. faa obstruction lighting will be included on each new tank. 2. the existing 1.0 mg lackman tank will be taken offline and repainted as part of this project after completion of the new 1.0 mg tank and once the new tank has been placed into service. a hydrodymanic mixing system will also be installed in the existing 1.0 mg lackman tank and the faa obstruction lighting will be replaced as provided in the contract documents. 3. the faa obstruction lighting will be replaced at the existing 2.0 mg renner tank in lenexa, ks. n response to questions arising at the conference, engineer will issue addenda as engineer considers necessary. minutes of the meeting will be distributed as part of an addendum. the sites for the work are o the new 1.0 mg tank and existing 1.0 mg tank are located at 19770 lackman road, spring hill, ks o the new 2.0 mg tank is located at 22245 w. 103rd ter in olathe, ks o the existing 2.0 mg renner tank is located at 10747 renner blvd in lenexa, ks
