This new addition will replace four existing structures on site that are specified to be demolished. The campus will be occupied throughout construction, which will require safety measures, coordination with the owner, and phasing of the work. There will also be renovations to the existing buildings to remain, including fire alarm upgrades throughout, reconfiguration of space and a new classroom in the existing single story building, along with minor modifications in the existing two-story building. Lastly, the project includes significant site modifications. Site circulation, site utilities, and storm drainage will all receive significant modifications, with a new stacking drive, parking lots, bus loop, site lighting, site fencing, landscaping, and other improvements. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than FIVE (5%) PERCENT of the base bid, which may be a bid bond with Notorized Power of Attorney, issued by a bonding company, or a certified check made payable to the Owner. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and Labor & Materials Payment Bond at 100% along with Notorized Power of Attorney, issued by a bonding company licensed to do business in South Carolina. Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or certain portions of a bid and to waive any formalities and technicalities in bidding, and to award the job in the best interest of the Owner.
