Salinas Elementary School District acting by and through its Board of Education, hereinafter "the District" will accept, sealed Bid Proposals for the Work generally described Loma Vista Elementary School Asphalt Pavement Rehabilitation Project Project Number #G 2019-21-11-013-21 The principal components of the work consists of: (i) crack fill & double emulsion seal coat, construction of bio-swales (ii) various depths of HMA overlay (iii) removals and pave backs and/or install concrete stairs and ramps at portables, pavement markings and (iv) related work. The work will be constructed in accordance with plans and specifications prepared by Dan Welch, Director of Bond Projects and MOTS'. Contractor License. Bidders are required to hold a valid CSLB Licensing Classification A to bid and perform the Work. Bidders and subcontractors must be properly licensed and registered with the State of California's Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) at the time of submitting the Bid Proposal and at all times during the Work. District Forms. All Bid Proposals shall be submitted on forms furnished by the District. Bid Proposals must conform with, and be responsive to, the Bid and Contract Documents. Bid proposals submitted after the date and time set forth above will be rejected for non-responsiveness. Wage Rates. The Work is subject to California prevailing wage rates as determined by the California Director of the DIR in the locality of the Work. These determinations may be viewed and obtained electronically. All laborers engaged in the Work shall be paid not less than the prevailing wage rate for the classification of labor provided. During the Work, prevailing wage rate compliance will be monitored and enforced by the Division of Labor Standards Enforcement (DLSE). Bid Security. Each Bid Proposal shall be accompanied by Bid Security of not less than ten percent (10%) of the maximum amount of the Bid Proposal, inclusive of the value of any additive Alternate Bid Item(s). Failure of any Bid Proposal to be accompanied by the required Bid Security will result in rejection of such Bid Proposal for non-responsiveness. Effectiveness of Bid Proposals. Bid Proposals shall not be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening of Bid Proposals. District Rights. The District reserves the right to reject all Bid Proposals or to waive minor irregularities or informalities in any Bid Proposal or in the bidding. Award of Contract. The Contract for the Work, if awarded, will be by action of the District's Board of Education to the responsible Bidder submitting the lowest priced responsive Bid Proposal.
