Saving Project...

Renovation of a municipal facility in Ottawa, Ontario. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Install new ceiling railing system for retractable fly chains drapery system (matching existing color of wall + floor)as per the pictures showing examples and per the handmade sketch provided by GAC. All required dimensions where client wishes to install the railing will be provided by GAC, but the contractor needs to validate dimensions (ceiling railing running between ceiling obstacles) according to all ceiling obstacles (ceiling access trap, sprinklers, lights and other existing devices). Determine where the railing system will be fixed underneath ceiling, make sure there is reinforcement into/on ceiling along the bulkhead. If required, please review procedures if there is asbestos into existing ceiling plaster since we will have to perforate the ceiling with anchor screws for the rails. All information, example pictures of drapery fly chains and drawing plan will be provided by GAC. CAD drawing could also be provided if required. BGIS has to find out a manufacturer of retract drapery fly chains, provide samples and pictures to the client and examples of drapery chain dividers of what they find. Add a new running man sign and toilet direction signs on both sides of the drapery coil system. The BGIS contractor has to provide shop drawings of the signs and get the Fire & Safety approval. See the drawing layout plans. TIMELINE: Plans complete. Future of this project is unknown. Coverage has been discontinued. Construction budget is unreleased.
