Per addendum 2 bid date extended to 10/28/22 The work to be done consists of new sidewalk, retaining walls, paving, storm drainage, boardwalks and trails, striping, landscaping, lighting, shelter and other amenities in Blakely, GA. The project area includes the northern right-of-way of GA HWY 62 and a 25-acre wooded site at the intersection of GA HWY 62 and US HWY 27 near downtown Blakely. All work under this contract shall be done in accordance with GDOT Standard Specifications All work shall be completed within 270 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. Bidders submitting bids over $2,000,000 shall be prequalified with the GDOT. Bidders submitting bids $2,000,000 or less shall be prequalified or registered subcontractors with the GDOT. Questions are due by 5 P.M. on Monday October 10, 2022 and the last date an addendum will be issued is Friday October 14, 2022. There is a 0% DBE GOAL for this project. Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Bond on the form included hereto and shall be secured by a surety company, certified check or cashier's check in an amount equal to at least 10% of the amount of the bid. The performance bond is to be 100% of the contract amount and the payment bond is to be 110% of the contract amount to conform with GDOT specification 103.05 and other sections of the bid document. The bid proposal may not be withdrawn for 120 calendar days after the bid opening date. The City of Blakely reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities in the bidding.
