The nonprofit organization recently submitted a proposal to Louisville Metro Government that would convert the 9-hole Cherokee Golf Course into parklands. The golf course itself would be reinvented as a mixture of meadows, woodlands and open space that coalesce into a nature walk. Meanwhile, the existing clubhouse could be redeveloped into a family-friendly restaurant with a patio, according to the plan. As of May 13, 2022, this project is in the conceptual phase.
