Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC), Real Property Branch, on behalf of Parks Canada have a requirement at The Port Severn Main Dam for Mechanization Dam Gates and Hoist System in the Township of Severn, Ontario. All work shall be in accordance with Project No. R.076951.037 Specification and Drawings. The work under this contract covers the furnishing of all labor, material, tools, equipment, plant, and supervision required to fully design, supply/fabricate and install four (4) vertical hydraulic lift gates in each of Sluice 1, 2, 3, and 4 located within The Port Severn Main Dam. The work involves detailed design of all required mechanical, electrical, embedments, and gate components as detailed in the drawings and specifications provided. The Contractor will also be responsible to connect to the new 3-phase Hydro One supply line and the installation of a new power supply line to the gates, as well as the Lock 45 Building. The Port Severn Main Dam is accessible from west side of Port Severn Road North and is located approximately 1.5 km east Highway 400. The contractor shall perform and complete the Work within fifty-two (52) weeks form the date of notification of acceptance of the offer. Visitors should dress according to outdoor weather conditions and are required to wear safety boots, hard hats and non-medical face mask/face covering,as well as a reflective vest as a minimum personal safety apparel. The representative of the bidder will be required to announce who is in attendance so that the Site Visit Attendance Sheet can be completed by the Departmental Representative. Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than five (5) days prior to the scheduled site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of the person(s) who will attend. Bidders will be required to sign an attendance sheet. Bidders should confirm in their bid that they have attended the site visit. Bidders who do not attend the site visit or do not send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment. The estimated cost for this project is $5,000,001 to $20,000,000 (HST extra). Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.
