Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Rome, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
**As of December 11, 2019 This project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The Project generally consists of constructing a high strength organic waste receiving facility, rehabilitating existing anaerobic digesters, and constructing a digester gas cleaning and combined heat and power system. Construction of a new waste receiving building, equalization tank, modifications to two (2) existing anaerobic digesters, new expansion vault, waste gas burner, digester gas cleaning equipment, combined heat and power system, associated pumping, piping, valving, controls integration, and start-up. Bidders, at their option, may submit a separate and independent Bid for any or all of the separate schedules of work contemplated under this Advertisement for which they are properly licensed to perform. All segments will be awarded separately, per the divisions of Work as described herein. Bid alternates may be included, as deemed in the Owner's best interest. The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is: Department of Public Works, City Hall, 198 North Washington Street, Rome, New York 13440. Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM and may obtain copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below. Bidding Documents also may be examined at the office of the Engineer, Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C., 443 Electronic Parkway, Liverpool, New York 13088 on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. The Successful Bidder will be required to furnish the additional bond(s) prescribed in the Bidding Documents. In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. Purchase made by City of Rome are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating use taxes on the cost of materials.
