Site work for a civil project in Willis, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
As of January 23, 2020, project was awarded to Walsh Construction Company amount of $98,700 , start date is on January 20, 2020 . The general scope of work includes: Remove and dispose of an existing steel tank car culvert under Worsham Road. Install a 6'X5' reinforced concrete box and associated headwalls. Regrade and fill existing channel per plans Install riprap and flexterra FGM for erosion control. A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. Attention is called to the fact that not less than, the federally determined prevailing (Davis-Bacon and Related Acts) wage rate, as issued by the Texas General Land Office and contained in the contract documents, must be paid on this project. In addition, the successful bidder must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of race, color, religion, sex, sexual identity, gender identity, or national origin. Bids may be held by the City of Willis for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. The City of Willis reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. The deadline to ask questions is 12/04/2019 10:00 PM CST
