This project will construct a new 5 lane Security Screening Checkpoint on the Baggage Claim Level with Automated Screening Lane technology, provide queueing and security separation, construct associated support spaces for TSA, relocate an airline baggage service office, upgrade finishes, and provide furnishings for associated services and a waiting area in Gina Marie Lindsey Hall including travel document verification and recomposure furniture. On the Bridge and Ticketing levels, the project will provide new glass barricades at the edges of existing openings overlooking Gina Marie Lindsey Hall, enclose a new mechanical room, and upgrade the existing stair to current code compliance. Existing Checkpoint 1 on the Ticketing Level will be removed with equipment relocated to support the project. The project will upgrade finishes in elevators J, K, and L, and completely replace elevator B including work in the Hostway. This project should enable the closure of the existing checkpoint 1 and increase the effective area provided for passenger security screening as soon as practicable. The relocated checkpoint should have Automated Screening Lanes (ASLs) for higher throughput in passenger screening, provide appropriate screening support area and include enough queue space to contain passengers at peak periods *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
