Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Danville, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the construction of a 29,218-square-foot, two-story above grade, one-story below grade fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.

New two-story 21,322 sqft fire station with 7,896 sqft basement. Plumbing - The plumbing scope consists of domestic water, natural gas, sanitary sewer and storm sewer. The systems are designed to meet the 2017 Kentucky Plumbing Code. Mechanical - The HVAC system for this project will include a VRF heat recovery system with both ducted and ductless indoor equipment. Outside air will be introduced to the occupied spaces and exhaust air will be removed from the required areas via a packaged rooftop Energy Recovery Unit. Apparatus Bays will be heated with gas-fired radiant heaters, with convective cooling provided with High Volume, Low Speed (HVLS) fans. The tornado shelter is ventilated via natural ventilation. Electrical - The electrical system for this project will include incoming utility infrastructure, 120/208-volt power distribution for normal power, emergency power distribution supplied via a diesel generator, all power connections to equipment and general use devices and a lightning protection system. Complete interior and exterior lighting and controls to comply with current ASHRAE energy codes shall be provided. Systems shall include Fire Alarm System, data communications, sound systems, and rough-ins for security/access control and CCTV systems. All systems shall be provided complete and operational to include infrastructure, equipment, wiring, devices, programming, etc. and be ready for use construction of a new, 21.522sf, 2-story central fire station located in the downtown district of danville, ky, adjacent to the existing city hall and main police station. the project includes new personnel living and sleeping quarters, administrative offices, truck apparatus and gear bays, training facilities and support spaces. the 7,896sf unfinished basement includes a storm shelter and long term storage areas. primary structural system consists of steel framing and decking; load bearing cmu with brick veneer; concrete slabs and piers. scope includes: site work, roofing, doors and windows, architectural finishes, plumbing, hvac, electrical and fire protection systems
