Renovation of an educational facility in Boone, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 6,000-square-foot educational facility.
*As of November 24, 2020, a general contractor has been awarded. Construction is scheduled to begin in mid-December 2020. Renovation of the Appalachian State University Career Development Center in the Plemmons Student Union and Solarium, incorporating an approximately 6,000 square feet renovation including general construction, HVAC, electrical, fire alarm systems, minimal plumbing, as well as minimal structural modifications to support the work. Bids will be received for single prime bid contract pursuant to N.C. Gen. Statutes 143-128(d). All Proposals will be lump sum. A walkthrough of the site will follow. Paid parking is available at the Rivers Street parking deck. Optional attendance to the pre-bid meeting will be available through internet video conferencing in lieu of in-person attendance. The state reserves the unqualified right to reject any and all proposals. Should the project need to be re-bid, the re-bid will be rescheduled to another date.
