The Bay County Board of County Commissioners (County) seeks bids from qualified contractors to repair and replace security fencing features at the Bay County Sheriff's Office Jail (Jail) facility located at 5700 Star Avenue, Panama City, FL 32404. The awarded contractor will provide all supplies, materials, and labor required to remove, haul and properly dispose of any debris, and repair and/or replace damaged fencing structures at the Jail facility. Estimated Budget $200,000.00 Bidders shall submit all questions, in writing, to the Purchasing Department at Purchasing@baycountyfl.gov or FAX to (850) 248-8276. All questions shall be submitted no later than 12:00 pm (CST) Tuesday, December 10, 2019. Each bid shall be valid to Bay County for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening. The County Purchasing Department will be the only point of contact for this ITB. Under no circumstances may a bidder contact any County Commissioner, County Administrator, or County employee concerning this ITB until after award. Any such contact may result in disqualification as per Bay County Code Section 2-124. The security fencing at the Bay County Jail requires both repair and replacement in numerous locations. Repair and replacement will match existing fencing which is 12' in height, 9 gauge, galvanized security fence; poles are set on 10' centers. There are 3 strands of razor wire (attached to arms) at the top of the fence and generally 2 strands of razor wire at the base of the fence. There is 2' of fence buried in the ground (for a total of 14') with concrete poured at the base of the fencing (underground). The following describes the repair/replacement requirements at the Jail: 1) Straighten Poles, 30 each 2) Replace Poles, 35 each 3) Replace wire on fencing, 150 LF 4) Replace razor wire arms, 20 each 5) Reset razor wire arms, 10 each 6) Re-secure razor wire, 200 LF 7) Straighten arms & razor wire, 200 LF 8) Replace razor wire, 2,500 LF 9) Install arms & razor wire on roof, 200 LF 10) Replace razor wire on roof, 50 LF 11) Install razor wire around roof scuppers, 35 each 12) Total fence replacement (chain link, poles, arms, & razor wire), 250 LF 13) Repair 3 each, 24' double swing gates 14) Replace 1 each 24' double swing gate 15) Replace 1 each 12.5' swing gate 16) Replace 1 each 12' slide gate
