Site work for a fire / police facility in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a fire / police facility.
Remove and process the rubber from Firing Ranges 2,3, and 4 with minimal disruption to the training schedule. separate rubber material from lead and other contaminates. Re-apply the screened rubber to the ranges and create a uniform surface with at least 24 inches of rubber. Supply new rubber to achieve the 24 inch required depth. Ensure that each range has at leat 24 inches of rubber spread across each backstop. The rubber will be 25mm all black, metal and fiber free. Rubber will be coated with calcium carbonate, fire retardant. All lead will be recycled. Dispose of all metallic lead and materials according to applicable regulations. Perform all work within accordance with OSJA requirements and consistent with standard protocol for remediation of outdoor ranges. All workers shall be trained in the handling of lead contaminate material. Monitor air quality during project. A final report to the Philadelphia Police Department to include air monitoring results, hazardous waste disposal and amount of lead recycled. Contractor will be responsible for the transportation and disposal of the hazardous materials. All work will comply with OHSA regulations concerning lead exposure in constructions standard.
