Site work for a civil project in Saint-Hyacinthe, Quebec. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

Reference number : 1537166 The City of Saint-Hyacinthe has mandated Les Services EXP inc. in order to carry out the plans and specifications for the expansion and upgrading project of the Casavant pumping station, including the addition of a magnetic flowmeter at the outlet of the station and the extension of the discharge pipe over 250 m to from avenue Beaudry by directional drilling. The sewer service must be maintained at all times during the work and the pumping of wastewater must be operational, so that no discharge to the environment is made. This project is an integral part of the corrective measures proposed, within the framework of the overflow management plan presented to the MELCC in January 2019. The goal is to increase the current capacity of the substation from 140 l / s to 255 l / s and to make it more reliable its pumping capacity in order to minimize overflow episodes. The current substation is made up of four submersible pumps, one of which is redundant (3 + 1). These must be replaced by more powerful ones. Their delivery lines and the related mechanics must also be replaced. Therefore, the electrical input and the current 60 kW generator would be replaced to meet the new needs. The expansion would accommodate this new generator as well as a new electrical room. As the ventilation system is obsolete, a new system with odor treatment must be installed in the current electrical room.
