Renovation of a water / sewer project in Daytona Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
The County of Volusia, Department of Business Services, Facilities Management is seeking a single, responsive and responsible Bidder for the installation of a new pre-fab duplex lift station, new control panel with ball type floats to adapt to existing electrical system, minor site improvements, and reuse old lift station pit as a manhole for inline service and sewer manhole. The lowest responsive and responsible Bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. Term: Total contract time of sixty (60) days Each Bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check, treasurers check, bank draft or Bid bond in an amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the Bid amount payable to the County of Volusia; as a guarantee that, if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute the Contract, provide certificates of insurance in the amounts and categories required by the County and, if required, record separate performance and payment bonds in amounts and with sureties acceptable to the County, within ten (10) days after the award of the Contract. The County of Volusia reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive any formality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the County of Volusia. The Scope of work overview includes the following: A. RESPONSIBILITIES 1. The contractor is responsible to familiarize themselves with the job site and point out any potential problems before starting the job. 2. The awarded contractor shall not commence work on the project until all equipment and materials needed for the project have been approved by Volusia County and is in the possession of the contractor or at the local supply house. 3. The existing lift station must stay online during the entire project duration. 4. All schedules must be approved by the Volusia County project manager at least one week in advance. 5. All work must be done in strict accordance with the current edition of Florida 2017 Plumbing, Florida 2017 Building code, and all other applicable codes. 6. Work area is to secured by means of a visual boundary delimitation. Contractor must take all precautions to keep public in surrounding areas safe. 7. The contractor must provide a port-o-let. B. EQUIPMENT 1. Station will consist of one prefab tank with a maximum size of 14' deep x 4' wide. 2. Two Liberty 2hp grinders with rail assembly 3. New four float alarm system. 4. New valve box with isolation valves and make connection to existing force main. 5. Install new steel ring and cover marked as sewer/sanitary on manhole. 6. Install flow channel and core drill for new station. C. Electrical 1. New duplex control panel and modify existing electrical rack. 2. All above ground piping and fittings shall be SCH. 80 PVC. 3. Nema 3R Disconnect. 4. Straps and supports all 316 stainless steel. Term: Total contract time of sixty (60) days. ESTIMATED CONSTRUCTION COST: $128,000.00
