Renovation of a water / sewer project in Somerset, Massachusetts. Design plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
A draft of an integrated water resources management plan recommends an estimated $57,577,000 in improvements to the town's water pollution control facility on Walker Street. The Somerset Water and Sewer Commission is awaiting a permit from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that will put requirements on the water pollution control facility that would necessitate such improvements to the water pollution control facility. As of February 17, 2021, the project is seeking NPDES permits. Design has not started yet. A general contractor has not been selected. Construction is not expected to begin prior to 2024.
