The Psychology Laboratory - Exterior Repairs project includes an initial on-site investigative survey of the building's exterior deficiencies, and defining of the scope of work early on. The intent is to bid the project to a General Contractor and or required sub-contractors to lead the construction to completion of the exterior masonry repair and tuck pointing and limestone joint replacement, asbestos investigation and abatement of facade joint sealants, limestone and masonry facade cleaning, elevator #4 replacement, and dock and elevator #4 area weather protection canopy. Since the available funds for construction is anticipated to be less than the repair and restoration needs of the building, the project work scope during bidding will be established by the PSC to allow independent selection of different work scope items. Priority will be given to masonry repair and restoration above the main roof level and waterproofing of elevations above ground level. Selection of other work scope items established by the PSC and the Owner jointly will depend on the budget left after priority work is completed. This Project is located at: 603 East Daniel Street, Champaign, Illinois 61820. The project manual, drawings, and all addenda are available after a one-time electronic registration for electronic viewing at no cost. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities in the bidding, and to accept the bids deemed to be in the best interests of the Owner after all bids have been examined and evaluated. Alternates, if considered, will be accepted in any order as determined by the Owner.
