The City of Placerville is planning on replacing the existing Placerville Drive Hangtown Creek Bridge in 2024. Currently, the District has an existing 8" waterline in the existing bridge to provide water to western Placerville. The District has a secondary connection that will be used to feed that portion of the District during construction. The District will replace the existing line with a new line in the bridge concurrent with the City's project. This will be bid as part of the City's project through an agreement with the City of Placerville. The City of Placerville anticipates completing their environmental permitting in 2022 and design for the project to be completed in 2023 with construction to begin in the spring of 2024. This project is included in the El Dorado Irrigation District's FY 2023 - 2027 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP).
